Self Review Part 5 (What is white balance?)

1. White balance is essentially the camera compensating for the color cast of the light in order to reproduce the "correct" color.

2. White balance doesn't really affect exposure, just the appearance of colors in the image.

3. When we adjust white balance on our digital camera, we are removing unrealistic colors levels from the image and adjusting those color levels for the camera.

4. White balance refers to the adjustment of relative amount of red, green and blue so that the neutral bcolors are correctly reproduced.

5. Most digital camera have automatic white balance, but also specific options for different sources of light.
